Basque Staycation
discover the real Basque Country
We will stay in a fantastic agriturismo in the stunning countryside of the Basque Country, and discover the traditions from there.
Literally – Come home!
Stay in a real Basque home!
Come and live in what we call Casa Rural, these are traditional Basque homes surrounded by rolling hills and gorgeous natural wonders. Enjoy a true northern Spanish experience away from the crowds in Pamplona and the other bigger cities!
Our small size group will be staying everyday in the same home, and we will do day trips to discover the REAL Basque Culture. Of course we will visit the big cities such as San Sebastian or Bilbao, but we will be inmersed in the culture as we spend every evening at the same place.

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL
Northern Spain is gorgeous year-round although it can get quite wet in spring and fall! But what’s a little rain?!
Any time between May and October is a good time to visit the Basque Country. However, the months of May, June, September, and October offer the best combination of good weather and lighter crowds at sights. September and October don’t have long days, but the forest is gorgeous!
Remember to pack a coat, mornings and evenings are chilly, no matter the month of the year.
